STEPS FOR JAIL NOTARIZATION
- Correctly identify the facility where the inmate is incarcerated.
- Obtain and write down inmates booking number.
- If possible, obtain the inmate's CA Approved ID:
- Current Driver's license.
- Current Passport.
- Current Consular Card.*
- State ID Card
- If #3.a-d is not available, we will utilize O.C. Sheriff's ID**
- Name that is printed on the document must be the exact name on the ID document.
- We are not allowed by law to create or assist you in creating the document for notarization.
- Call us at (949)614-5291 for an appointment,
- Ensure that inmate is aware of our appointment.
- Please note that full fee is due whether or not inmate signs.
- Inmate should be aware of the type of document and its contents.
- Inmate must be able to communicate in English with the notary.
- We are not allowed to explain or give advice on forms to the inmate.
- Bring the documents to be notarized with you to our appointment.
* Must be issued within 5 yrs., have a serial number, contain signature, photograph and description of bearer. (The Mexico Matricula Consular card is not acceptable.)
** Orange County Sheriff Department Facilities Only. For Santa Ana City Jail, if you do not have an inmate's CA Approved ID, you must bring with you two credible witnesses that have an approved ID that are not named in the document and do not have a financial interest in the document. The prison must also be notified in advance that the signing requires 2 witnesses, that you will bring with you, due to unavailability of inamte's state approved id. (These witnesses are required by Callifornia law.)

The Santa Ana City Jail is not classified as an Orange County Jail under the authority of the Orange County Sheriff Department. However, we do provide notary public services for inmates of the Santa Ana City Jail during normal visiting days and hours. . $200 cash - 2pm, 3pm, 4pm
$225 cash - 7pm, 8pm
1. Must arrive minimum of 30 minutes before appointment.
2. Must have on your person a state approved ID document.
3. Fee includes travel, up to 2 signatures, special jail services
4. Additional signatures may also be obtained each at $15.00
