GUIDELINES FOR YOUR APOSTILLE OR AUTHENTICATION
1. DESTINATION COUNTRY:
Apostilles can only be issued for countries that belong to the Hague Convention. You must define
your country of destination in writing when requesting our service. If your destination country
is not a member, you will need a U.S. Dept. of State Certification.
2. DOCUMENT PREPARATION:
A. Required Signature
i. All documents for Ca. Apostille service are limited to documents with specific signatures.
Make sure that your document has a qualifying signature.
ii. If you are producing your own document, such as a Power of Attorney, contract bids or any
printed document that requires your signature, we will notarize your signature at no
additional charge when we pick up your document.
iii. Documents mailed to us that require a California notarization for counties other than
Orange, La or Riversides must be notarized before sending them to us.
iv. Other California documents such as High School/College Diplomas, transcripts, etc., must
also be notarized before you submit them to us for processing.
v. If your document has multiple signatures, verify whether or not each signature requires
an Apostille authentication; remember, it is the signature that is authenticated, not the
document.
vi. All documents must have a certification date within the past five years or a new
certified copy must be obtained before submitting for an Apostille.
B. Translation: If your document is in a foreign language, it must be accompanied with an
english translation.
C. If you need a updated Birth or Death Certificate, Marriage or Divorce Record, your may
